Song!

My daughter loves the song, "All the single ladies" by Beyonce'. She used to listen to it all the time. Whenever we travel in the car she always ask me to play the same song over and over till we reach the destination. She never saw that video. So yesterday while she was dancing to the you tube videos, I thought of playing this video. As soon as she heard. She came runnning to watch the video. I thought she will be happy but to my surprise she looked shocked. She turned to me and said, "Amma, they forgot to put their pants!!!"

Paati's Pancake!

Reading a story at bedtime to my daughter has been a everynight routine in my family. Usually we used to read a story from a book. This time my husband thought of telling our famous, "Paati vadai sutta kathai" story. He is too tired to read a story from a book. The story begins with an unsual twist. In this story our paati is preparing pancakes. Since pancakes are my daughter's favourite. We used to call my daughter 'Kuttyma'. The story begins,

Appa : Once upon a time, there lived a paati, who makes the most delicious pancakes. One day a crow was sitting on a tree watching these pancakes. He was waiting for the right time to take a pancake from the paati.
Kuttyma : (Shocked!!)
Appa : (More interested in her response, continues with more suspense) The crow flew down , took the pancake and went back to his tree.
Kuttyma : So did the paati climbed the tree to get the pancake?
Appa :(Didnot expect this question, replied) No sweetie, how will the paati climb the tree. She is too old. So...
Kuttyma: She can use a ladder to climb the tree
Appa:  Illai kuttyma, the paati didnot get a ladder or the pancake. Now lets go to the story... Apuram....
Kuttyma: Appa wait wait, you don't know the story. Let me tell you what happened. Then the paati brought a ladder. She climbed the tree and got the pancake from the crow. Returned back to her home. The end.
Appa: ?!?

Engeyum Kaadhal!!!

Director    : Prabhu Deva
Actors      : 'Jayam' Ravi, Hansika Motwani
Producers : Kalpathi S. Aghoram, Kalpathi S. Ganesh, Kalpathi S. Suresh
Music       : Harris Jeyaraj.

'Engeyum Kaadhal' , a movie starts with the director Prabhu Deva dancing for the title song. Apappo Prakash raj shows his face and gets insulted by the director saying, "You are not in this movie". I still wonder why?!?

Jeyam Ravi acts as a successful business man who enjoys his vacation once a year in Paris. By this time he enjoys beyond the limit with girls no matter whether they are single or committed. The director says that he can attract them by his charms.Seri!!!!

Now coming to the heroine. This girl looks so cute but she looks ridiculous when comes to acting. As per the movie she falls in love with the hero the very first time she looks at him. Her father is Suman. Being a love detective by profession, files a case on our hero. Heroine who is always curious about her father's investigations finds out that a comedian (who suspects our hero is his fiance's lover) plans to kill our hero. So she decides to save him. That's how they meet.  She develops friendship with him and loves him more after she finds him a good man at heart. Our director proves that to the heroine with the stunt masters. Since she understands that he is not interested in love and relationships, she plans to make him fall for her. Ta-dah, the story begins from there.

There are many stupid logic in this movie and one of them is, hero after such a long friendship with the heroine asks for her name only when he leaves back to India. Then he guesses her name as 'Lolita'. I wonder how he got that name for a tamil girl.

The only funniest and honest thing in this movie is, Jeyam Ravi accepting the fact, "Intha vulagathileyae enoda kural pidikumnu sonna motha ponnu nee thaan!".

Raju Sundaram comes as a comedian in this movie who is a very dearest friend of our hero. He has a worst sense of humor and his jokes are disgusting.

Somebody must have told Prabhu Deva that fat guys are funny. So he puts a fat guy in this movie who is a dearest friend of our heroine. This guy has a crush on her. Whenever he is upset with her he eats. All of a sudden he vanishes from this movie.

I really like the plot. But the execution of the story is a disaster.

Harish Jeyaraj is the only best thing in this movie.

After seeing this movie, I have only one question for Prabhu Deva, "Seriously?!?"

As a whole, "Engeyum Kaadhal!" is "Engeyum Waste!"
